The Zaporozhye court sentenced Oleksandr Saulenko, the Gauleiter of temporarily occupied Berdyansk.
The mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov reports this on Telegram.
Fedorov notes that until February 24 of last year, the future traitor was a little-known businessman without a brilliant political career. Even then, the man was a member of the pro-Russian Union of Left Forces party.
After a full-scale invasion, the Russians made him a pawn of the “occupation authorities” in Berdyansk. In this position, Saulenko was distinguished by the failure of the pseudo-referendum and the export of Ukrainian grain through the port of Berdyansk to the Russian Federation.
Saulenko was sentenced to 15 years in prison with the confiscation of all property for treason.
It will be recalled that the Security Service of Ukraine informed about the suspicion of five organizers of the pseudo-referendum in the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region.
Recently, SBU employees also arrested an official in Lyman, Donetsk region, who was collecting personal data of Ukrainians who remained under occupation on behalf of the Russians. It was even possible to catch an aide who organized the broadcast of Russian TV channels during the occupation.
