Running – Aude: the trace of Fontfroide victim of “sabotage”

After three successive cancellations, the Fontfroide trail is back in style this weekend. And it is sold out, with 1,700 registered in the two days. As a reminder, in 2020, the event held by AC Narbonne Méditerranée around Gaëtan Sanchez had been canceled the day before with the appearance of Covid; in 2021, the excessive sanitary limitations also caused its cancellation; finally in 2022 the trail had fallen into water following an orange weather alert.

This time, if the course has been running smoothly or almost since Saturday, the organizers nevertheless regret the “acts of sabotage”. Participants are also invited “to download the GPX track” on your phone.

On social media, organizers made sure to speak directly to the bad guys: “Vous qui mettez tout en œuvre pour saboter le Trail de Fontfroide, sachez que nous sommes de tout coeur avec vous. Car vous devez en effet être bien aigri dans la vie pour au quotidien non seulement unlever les rubalises destinées au Trail, mais aussi les raccrocher sur d’autres sentiers afin d’induire les participants en erreur.
