No double for the Blues who see the untouchable Ireland crowned. Undefeated, the Irish also won the fourth Grand Slam in their history.
After their first four successes in the Six Nations Tournament, the Irish needed another success against their longtime rivals, the XV de la Rose, to win another Grand Slam. The fourth after those won in 1948, 2009 and 2018.
Despite a good start to the game for England, the Irish beat 14 much braver Englishmen 29-16 than they did last week at Twickenham against the French team.
With a single defeat in this tournament against Ireland, the Blues did not achieve the double after the Grand Slam last year but they finished second and already have an appointment for the next World Cup that is organized in France (September 8-October 28) for the that Ireland, the best nation in the world, will go away with the favourite.
